Location: Wichita, KS (On-site) – Downtown location at 127 S. Washington

Job Type: Full Time, Salary

Travel: 10-15%

Overview

We’re looking for a business-savvy professional to help grow our Data Services division. This role combines consultative selling with strategic relationship building to expand our footprint in data analytics, automation, and AI-enhanced solutions.

You’ll work closely with our technical team to understand capabilities, identify opportunities, and build lasting client relationships. This is an ideal role for someone who understands the value of data and can translate technical capabilities into business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Develop New Business

  • Identify and pursue opportunities in data analytics, AI, and digital transformation
  • Build relationships with decision-makers at industrial and enterprise organizations
  • Create compelling proposals that connect data solutions to business value
  • Manage sales pipeline and forecast revenue opportunities
  • Represent our brands at local business events and industry conferences

Consult with Clients

  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to executive leaders, helping them expand their data culture and align data strategy with organizational goals
  • Understand client challenges and translate them into data solution opportunities
  • Educate prospects on our capabilities in Power BI, Azure, AI/ML, and industrial data
  • Partner with technical project manager to scope projects and develop solutions
  • Serve as ongoing relationship manager for key accounts
  • Gather feedback to help shape our service offerings

Support Business Growth

  • Collaborate with leadership on go-to-market strategy
  • Help develop MSAs, SOWs, and service agreements
  • Track market trends in data analytics and industrial automation
  • Position TEC/Cornerstone Data as trusted data partners in the region

What We’re Looking For

Business Skills

  • 3+ years in B2B sales, business development, or consulting
  • Track record of building relationships and closing deals
  • Consultative selling approach with ability to uncover pain points
  • Experience with longer sales cycles and solution-based selling

Technical Understanding

  • Conversational knowledge of data platforms (Power BI, SQL, Azure)
  • Ability to discuss AI/ML applications in business contexts
  • Familiarity with industrial automation is a plus
  • Comfortable learning new technologies to stay current

Personal Qualities

  • Strong networker with excellent presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with entrepreneurial drive
  • Organized approach to pipeline management
  • Team player who collaborates across functions
  • Genuine interest in helping clients succeed

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience selling technical services or software solutions
  • Existing relationships in Wichita business community is a plus
